[ artist's statement ]I have been drawing pictures for as long as I can remember, and although I started out with crayons, markers and chunks of charcoal from the fireplace, most of my recent work is done in gouache, watercolors and acrylics. I studied biology as an undergraduate and have worked in wildlife husbandry and veterinary medicine, so the living world holds a special place in my heart. I am drawn to natural themes such as plants, wildlife and landscapes. All of the artwork in my online gallery is inspired by nature – one of my greatest sources of inspiration. |
